Celebrate International Women’s Day with a Powerful Dance Performance at MK Gallery

To mark International Women’s Day 2025, MÓTUS Dance and MK Act proudly present I Have a Bruise, a powerful, multi-sensory dance performance by WomanEwer, under the artistic direction of Laura Kenyon.

📅 Date & Time: Saturday, 8 March 2025 | 17:30 – 19:30 GMT
📍 Location: MK Gallery, 900 Midsummer Boulevard, Milton Keynes, MK9 3QA
🔞 Ages 16+

I Have a Bruise is an evocative live performance based on real-life stories, performed by five professional female dancers who are all survivors of sexual abuse. Through movement, voice, and visual art, the performance explores themes of domestic violence, survival, and strength, celebrating the resilience and empowerment of women.

An accompanying art exhibition will enrich the experience with paintings, collages, ceramics, and digital soundscapes by Melanie and Laura Kenyon, providing a thought-provoking, immersive reflection on the themes of the performance.

“They are loud, they are proud, and they will not be silenced—promoting self-love, solidarity, and healing, while welcoming women of all backgrounds to share in their journey.” – Khalia Willet

This event is presented in partnership with MK Act and MÓTUS Dance, with the generous support of MK Community Foundation.

Join us for this extraordinary performance and be part of the conversation. Tickets available soon.
