MK Act Secures Community Foundation Funding to Expand Refuge Provision

MK Act is delighted to receive funding from the Community Foundation to support the role of a Project Manager, who will oversee the day-to-day running of our project to expand refuge provision for victims of domestic abuse in Milton Keynes. 

Due to the high levels of security and confidentiality we maintain, MK Act provides a safe haven for women and their children, many of whom are fleeing for their lives. Our refuge offers specialist, needs-led support to help families recover from trauma and rebuild their futures. Each adult and child receives tailored assistance, including opportunities for play therapy for children, guidance to access financial support or managing existing debt and immigration advice, emotional support, housing and employment guidance, education support, life skills training, budgeting, parenting advice and much more. 

We are proud to have a 100% satisfaction rate among those who have moved on from our refuge, with every resident expressing gratitude for the services provided.
