Ongoing Support from Milton Keynes Soroptimists Strengthens MK Act’s Mission

MK Act is thrilled to announce the ongoing support of the Milton Keynes Soroptimist Club, a dedicated group of women committed to empowering others and advocating for equality. The relationship between MK Act and the Soroptimists continues to grow, with Soroptimists providing vital year-round support for our work supporting survivors of domestic abuse in Milton Keynes.

Sue Burke, CEO of MK Act, was recently invited to the Milton Keynes Soroptimists annual meeting, where she shared updates on MK Act’s current priorities and discussed plans for the year ahead. During the visit, Sue also received a generous donation from the Soroptimists, a gesture that will directly benefit the individuals and families MK Act supports every day.

Sue Burke commented on this vital partnership, saying:

“We are incredibly fortunate to have the steadfast support of the Milton Keynes Soroptimists, who share our vision of ending violence against women and girls and achieving equality for women. Their ongoing commitment enables us to continue making a tangible difference in our community, ensuring survivors of domestic abuse have access to the help they need.”

The Soroptimists’ dedication to creating positive change perfectly aligns with MK Act’s mission of building a safer Milton Keynes where everyone can live free from fear and violence. MK Act thanks the Milton Keynes Soroptimist Club for their continued generosity and partnership, which provide hope and resources to those affected by domestic abuse.
