Volunteer Coordinator (16 hours)

We have an exciting opportunity to work for our organisation coordinating our volunteers to support those who experience Domestic Abuse (DA), in a variety of roles. With Senior Managers and Trustees you will maintain and develop a high-quality volunteer scheme that meets the needs of both MK-Act clients and the organisation. Managing all elements of volunteering within MK-Act you will be assessing and meeting MK-Act’s needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers.  You will manage volunteers and the relationships with those they come into contact with, including employees and clients of MK-Act. You will also monitor and evaluate their work and you will work closely to maintain effective partnerships between MK-ACT and a wide range of statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations in Milton Keynes, to improve the coordinated community response to DA.  You will be joining our caring, strong and hardworking team.

Salary scale: £10,458 (Permanent subject to successful probation period)

Hours:  16 hours per week 

Work Pattern: TBC, but may require some evening and weekend work.

You will be based across the MK-Act Offices within Milton Keynes

We require a Volunteer Coordinator who is flexible, has a broad knowledge of DVA and experience of working with volunteers in a management position.  You will have experience of recruiting, training and accrediting volunteers working in line with an organisations business plan to ensure the needs of our clients and the organisation are met.  We are a mutually supportive organisation and in coordinating the volunteers you will be upholding and reflecting this with the volunteers.
